roller coasters

From the video "The Termite-backyard roller coaster (1989)" uploaded to youtube Sep 26, 2014

In many ways the life of my childhood friends and I centered around amusement parks and roller coasters. Growing up in Northeast Ohio I went to Cedar Point every 4th of July. Most people I knew went more, and may have had season passes. I went to Disney World with my family twice, and have never been to Europe. Other common destinations were the IX indoor amusement park, Geauga Lake, Seaworld, Six Flags, Kings Island, Kennywood, and Kalahari. At times when we weren't at the parks we could amuse ourselves virtually with the Roller Coaster Tycoon computer game.

Now that many of us have grown up to be mature, responsible anti-capitalists there's no use for such decadent amusement.

Sometimes I watch videos about Disney World and Cedar Point alone at night with the shades drawn.

Thanks to Jimmy for turning me on to the euthanasia coaster, perhaps the only ethical roller coaster left.
